Dragon or jifu dress, China Qing Dynasty, late 19th century, long-sleeved dress in blue taffeta amply embroidered with polychrome silk and gold thread in couchure of nine dragons chasing a fire pearl among clouds, the lower part decorated with spikes and waves, y closure with gilded metal bell buttons (good condition, some wear, some buttons missing). Provenance: former Boris Kochno Collection (1904-1990)
