In-8, lavaliered morocco, Japanese-style lacquered boards, with two storks on a tree branch on the first board and a floral motif on the second, 5-rib spine, inner fillets crisscrossing the corners, gray silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, gilt head, cover and spine, slipcase (Kieffer). Luxurious book decorated with 44 COLOR COMPOSITIONS, including the cover, a title vignette and 42 large ornaments around the text by Henri Caruchet. Edition of 300 copies, this one on Arches vellum. A very attractive copy, despite a repair to the lacquer on the second cover and a 1-centimeter loss to the grain of the leather on one hinge. ED
