In-4°, black morocco, on the boards and continuous on the spine a set of black and gilded hollowed-out fillets drawing geometric spirals, wide interior framing, marbled paper lining and endpapers, double endpapers, smooth spine, gilded head, cover and spine, bordered slipcase (René Kieffer). 54 ORIGINAL EAUX-FORTES, including 7 hors-texte, engraved by Auguste Brouet. One of 14 copies reserved for the artist and publisher, this one an artist's copy on strong paper, with a black suite of hors-texte in 2 states, one with remarks, 1 suite of in-texte with remarks, 1 suite of culs-de-lampe, and 2 unpublished plates on pages 120 and 154. Color bookplate of L. Levi de Benzion, Egyptian collector, bound at the beginning. A very fine copy, finely bound by Kieffer. ED
