VIRGILE. Bucolica, Georgica et Aeneis. Paris, P. Didot, in aedibus Palatinis An VI. In-8, empire green russian leather, gilt framing on the boards with the letters "A et E" in the center, ornate smooth spine, gilt edges (period binding). "The first and finest of all P. Didot's stereotype editions" (Brunet V, 1294). It is decorated with pictorial vignettes and a fold-out map. A very good copy. Provenance: Bibliothèque E. Poncet (bookplate).
