In-8, long-grained mahogany morocco, wide gilt decoration on covers, smooth spine decorated throughout, gilt edges (period binding). Enlarged edition, with frontispiece portrait of the Marquis de La Rochejaquelein lithographed by C. Motte and 2 folding maps, one of them watercolored. A copy given by the Marquise on the occasion of the marriage of her "adopted daughter" Clémentine Jerningham, niece of Lord Stafford and wife of André-Victor-Amédée de Ripert-Monclar (handwritten ex-dono). Spine faded, brown spots.
