Very rare border, needlepoint, Flanders, circa 1650-1660. Opaque" type with a dense and remarkable decoration of mirrored motifs, tiny flowers and buds drowned in a foliage very finely realized with the needle and entirely embroidered with festoon stitches of an extreme finesse, illuminated by a "belt" of very small bridles with a picot. Cream coloured linen. Dim. 53 x 6.5 cm. Good general condition, some dirt. Cf.
