Six spindle passements, Italy, late 16th-early 17th century. Cream to ivory coloured linen borders and entre-deux, of which one entre-deux from the former collection of Mrs Margaret Simeon illustrated p.21 pl.25c, Dim. 38 cm x 10 cm, an extremely finely made entre-deux in the spirit of Le Pompe's designs, Dim. 63 x 2 cm, and four serrated borders, Dim. 51 x 7,5 cm, 100 x 6,5 cm, 56 x 6 cm and 135 x 3,5 cm. Good condition, stains on the longest border.
