UNIQUE EDITED AND MAGNIFICENTLY ILLUSTRATED EXAMPLE OF 45 ORIGINAL AQUARELLES all signed by the painter and illustrator Alcide Robaudi (1850-1928) from Nice. It appeared in the "Chronique des Lettres Françaises" (n°18 of 1925, p. 816), and was sold on October 22, 1925 for the princely sum of 6000 Frs (Sale of Mr. X).
The amateur who owned the book, printed on cream vellum, had the illustrations by P. Moreau removed and replaced them with the original watercolours by Robaudi.
