Pair of octagonal silver torches, the base with steps and doucine engraved with the arms "Parti d'argent et d'azur, au heurtoir brochant sur le tout", the shaft, the node and the binet as before Paris, 1729 Master-smith : AP (either PLOT, received in 1729 ; or POLY, received in 1675 ; or PORCHER, received in 1725 ; or PONAY, received in 1695) Weight : 1020 g BL Impossible to identify the Master Goldsmith : all the symbols of royalty (fleur de lys, crown) appearing on the hallmarks of these torches have been crossed out. The blazon is found in the General Armorial of Hozier for Poitou, in the name of David FRAPIER, lord of Landreau and bourgeois of Aubigny.
