Ragguagli dell’Isola di Corsica. L’ancêtre de la presse corse
During his generalate, Pascal Paoli wished very quickly to set up a printing office, a stamperia camerale, in Campoloro then Corte, with among other things the vocation to print a newspaper intended for the diffusion of news: the Ragguagli dell'Isola di Corsica. From 1760 to 1768, 60 numbers will leave the presses, some of an insignificant rarity. Pascal Paoli, sensing in 1768 the loss of freedom for the stanpa, with the arrival of new French battalions, the evacuation of the presidia by the Genoese, the influx of serious news, decides to transfer in Tuscany the second series of Ragguagli, which will be published in Livorno by Giovanni Vincenzo Falorni. This new series, without vignettes, was published weekly. 58 numbers will appear from 1768 to 1769. They are presented on 4 pages We have the following years: No. V, June 1768, VI, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XIX, XX, XXI, XXII, XXIII, XXIV, XXV, XXVIII, XXX, XXXI, XXXII, XXXIII, XXXVI, XXVII, XXXVIII, XXXX, XXXXI, XLIII, XLIV, XLV, XLVI AND XLVII ( 8 p.), XLVIII, IL, L, LI, LII, LII.
