Height 34 cm Man's head with bulging eyes due to a ritual deformation of the skull towards the back. Curiously, the iris is underlined by black circles. The skull is covered with an imposing cap, a sort of band supporting ornamental pompoms fixed on the forehead. A plume of feathers incised and fixed in the band of the headdress. Visible acc., surface wear, small fillings. Provenance: Former private American collection, 1990s Sale Binoche et Giquello, Paris, February 20, 2014, n°67 Private collection, Paris
