In-8, [40]-696-[2] pages, brown calf, fillets framing the boards with a large Renaissance gilt design in the center, modern purple cloth cords (period binding). This second edition, illustrated with 57 full-page engravings and 38 vignettes by T. Galle and Ch. Mallery, contains 32 more engravings than the 1600 original. A fine hour-book, one of the most beautiful volumes published by Moretus, who wanted to celebrate in his own way the 1598 marriage of the Infanta Isabel. The engravings are of the highest quality. A fine copy.
