Saint Mark, Saint Matthew and Saint John - Lot 14
Saint Mark, Saint Matthew and Saint John Three panels of four-lobed, pegged wooden boards with carved and stuccoed elements, presenting three of the four evangelists in their symbolic form. Elements in wood and in relief: the winged bull with a halo for Mark, the eagle for John and the angel for Matthew. Each panel bears a phylactery inscribed with "Sanctus Marcus", "Joan" and "Sanctus Matheus Evangelista". Late 18th - early 19th century Dimensions: H: 48.2 cm - W: 48 cm Condition: accidents, missing parts and restorations.
