Troels Lund (Copenhagen 1802-1867) "Hindoo temples at Bindrabund on the river Jumna" (Uttar Pradesh, India) Watercolor depicting Indian temples, signed "Troels Lund 1829" lower left, titled lower right, framed 26.5 x 21.5 on view Probably inspired by the drawing "Madan Mohan temple, on the Yamuna, Vrindavan" (1789) and the engraving (1795) by Englishman Thomas Daniell (1749-1840). Troels Lund was a teacher and member of the Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and a theater set painter: he painted mainly architectural views, notably of Italy.
