Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) Two-part ivory manju netsuke with Shibayama-type decoration inlaid with wood, mother-of-pearl, horn, coral and hard stones (agate probably) of an eggplant, a daikon, two squashes, a chili pepper, a peach, and another fruit (white), on the reverse the himotoshi circled with mother-of-pearl and a mother-of-pearl-inlaid cartouche signed Shibayama 芝山. D. 4.5 cm ; Weight 35.43 gr One missing piece. Provenance : Collection of Mme R. We enclose its CITES certificate.
