Embroidered bedspread, Ateliers de Canton, China, circa 1900, cream jaspered satin embroidered with silk in vivid polychrome, mainly flat pastel, of a rosette with peacock and pheasant in a peony blossom frame, arabesques of flowers and birds in the spandrels. Lined, cream molded fringe, (washed, a few stains, one small hole), 222 x 71 cm.
