Beautiful Boulle marquetry violoné cartel with brown tortoiseshell background; important ormolu decoration: the finial finished with a cherub on a rocaille; the front decorated with Diana the Huntress, the feet with a winged dolphin and a woman's bust; the bas-de-lampe with a corner motif of a feathered Indian bust, a central bird and a rocaille in the lower part; the dial with enamelled cartouches in Roman or Arabic numerals (three missing).
Signed "Pierre Ducreux à Nancy".

Total height: 113 cm BL
The movement is incomplete, some bronzes have probably been added, and the marquetry is missing or damaged.
