Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) and Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) ôban tate-e print, "Ôtsu, Tosa Matabei and his wife", from the series of Fifty-three associations along the Tôkaidô (Tôkaidô Gojûsan tsui), a collaboration with Hiroshige and Kunisada, signed Ichiyûsai Kuniyoshi ga (bottom) and Ôju Hiroshige sha (top in the medallion containing the otsu-e), publisher Dansendô, engraver's mark Horikô Fusajirô, circa 1845/46, framed under glass. H. 35.9 cm - W. 23.5 cm Lined, small holes, one corner missing, stains and wear.
