JAPAN - MEIJI period (1868-1912) Kutani porcelain service enamelled in iron red and gold, decorated with shishi, baku and bird in round medallions on a background of scrolls, flowers and geometric patterns, the large handles imitating a bamboo stem, consisting of a teapot, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, a bowl, eight cups, eleven saucers, eleven dessert plates and two dishes, Kutani mark on the base.
