ARMAND-DUMARESQ (Charles-Édouard). Uniforms of the French army in 1861, drawn under the direction of Major General Hecquet according to the orders of M. le Maréchal Minister of War. Paris, Lemercier's lithographic printing house, 1861. In plano, printed publisher's cardboard. Very rare suite, not put on the market, consisting of a title, a table and 56 lithographed and coloured plates, mounted on tabs, representing two characters or a rider and his mount. A first rate document for the description of the uniforms of the French army in the second half of the reign of Napoleon III. Half of the engravings have freckles, worn cardboard. (Colas n° 151)
