Le Malade imaginaire is here in ORIGINAL EDITION (Le Petit, p. 325). A few blank leaves which should appear at the beginning of volumes and parts are missing. Two which are at the head of the "Forced Marriage" and the "Miser", are covered with handwritten reflections on these plays. A copy of which the first leaves of the first volume have been washed with the disappearance of some letters, it is elegantly bound in morocco by Niedrée, bookbinder active from 1836 to 1854. One spine split, corners slightly dulled. (See the long notice on this edition in the catalogue Rothschild, II, n°1176 - Tchemerzine IV, 824 - Rochebillière n°365). FROM THE LIBRARY OF DOCTOR EUGENE FOURNIER, with its E.F. label and the classification number on each volume.
