It opens with a beautiful engraved title, a portrait of Lafosse and offers 62 magnificent engravings, often folding, showing the horse under all its aspects, its anatomy, fittings, instruments and furniture of the forge, diseases, defects,... they are all due to Harguiniez. Spine missing and missing plates 34 and 46, there are 2 different numbered 44.
Copy as issued, with very large margins and printed on strong paper, edges of engravings faded and soiled.
