Precious terrier of the seigneury of Belmont, made in 1460, by Antoine Bertrand, canon of Saint-Paul, official of Lyon, before Jean Berjon, clerk, inhabitant of Chazay, imperial notary and public tabellion, sworn in the court of the officiality and special commissioner, to the benefit of noble man Humbert de Varey, damoiseau, lord of Belmont, panetier of the house of the King, royal elected official and treasurer of the archiepiscopal see, son and heir of noble man Girard de Varey, because of the directness of this lordship of Belmont: recognitions by the tenementiers in emphyteusis of the cens and rents in money and in kind due on certain grounds located at Belmont, Charnay, Châtillon, Morancé, Saint-Jean des Vignes, Marcilly, Chessy, l'Arbresle, etc.
