Georges MANZANA-PISSARRO (1871-1961)
Georges MANZANA-PISSARRO (1871-1961). L.A.S. to his father Camille Pissarro. Charfon House, England, around October 1895. 2 pp. in-4. Beautiful letter illustrated with 2 ink drawings about his work as a cabinetmaker. "We have in progress me and Titi 3 boxes each, and we are happier with these than with the previous ones, once finished, they will be much better, because we have followed your advice, we don't make a fuss, Titi makes horses and I make rabbits, I have a rabbit in the room that runs and makes droppings everywhere, I have a rabbit in the room that runs and poops all over the place, because even though I know them, I thought it was better to do them from life, and my goodness, it's going very well, Titi has horses on the green as much as he wants - it will be absolutely necessary for Conté to send us gold leaf, I'll make the eyes of the rabbits out of gold, on the box which has this shape (fig. I'll make the eyes of the rabbits out of gold, on the box that has that shape (fig. 1) which I think is very pretty, the old cassette way; that with white rabbits, preciously enamelled, gold here and there, grey grass and golden irises! You have no idea how well the enamels look, it's so precious as a material the reds are rubies the emerald greens, they look like layers of precious stones, I hope we'll be ready for the opening, but it takes so long to dry!!!
