COQUEREAU (Abbot Félix). Memories of the voyage of St. Helena. Paris, H. L. Delloye, 1841. In-8 of [4]-207 pages, garnet half calf with corners, spine decorated with N and golden bees (Left). ORIGINAL EDITION written by the chaplain of the expedition in charge of bringing back to France the remains of the Emperor aboard the frigate "La belle Poule". It is decorated with a striking frontispiece representing Napoleon at the opening of his coffin on October 15, 1840 and 3 lithographs out of text: view of the tomb in Sainte-Hélène, plan and section of the tomb, coffin on board the frigate. All the official documents, reports and minutes are bound in fine. A few freckles, the copy is nicely bound.
