Hasha representing the chubby god Culture Veracruz, Mexico Classical, 450-950 A.D. Grey basalt with brown patina and traces of cinnabar H. 24 cm - W.21 cm Characteristic object of the Veracruz culture representing the face of the chubby god. Head adorned with a finely incised cap topped with a rabbit's head. At the back, there is a notch allowing the hacha to be fixed. This type of object, like the palmas and yokes, is the votive representation of an element used during the ball game. Surface wear, visible splinters, small fillings and blockages.
