Bowl and a silver lid. The silver bowl unites the ears with contoured edges underlined with shell staples and foliated mouldings. MACON, 1748-1750 (letter I) Master goldsmith: Widow Claude II SOLDAT born Marguerite DESAINT (1711-1790) goldsmith in MACON from 1747 to 1751. The lid with doucine entirely decorated in repoussé of flowered cartridges, the catch in the shape of cabbage. PARIS, 1750-1756 Length at the ears: 29.5 cm ESP Weight: 642 g (Slight bump, hole and tear in the lid) The model of the bowl is similar to a bowl of Jacques QUENEAU received in 1751, second husband of Marguerite Desaint widow of Claude II Soldier, reproduced in the goldsmiths of Burgundy, Heritage Editions, No. 185 page 433.
