Ildebrando BASTIANI (1867-?) Eve White marble signed on the terrace "Prof. I. Bastiani". H. 134 cm Restoration on the left hand, both hands are missing. The sculpture rests on a sea-green marble pedestal forming a Doric column , the upper capital pivoting. It is composed of four elements. H. 90 cm - D. 43 cm Slight chips. Born in Florence, Bastiani was a pupil of Augusto Rivalta in Florence. He worked for a time in the workshop of Cesare Zocchi. Bastiani excels in the representation of allegorical female figures whose naturalism is tinged with the Art Nouveau spirit. His dynamic compositions express life and movement.
